The set comprises of the most famous people in history from 1869-1969, from Charles Dickens to HG Wells and Amy Johnston, the first card depicts Lord Shaftesbury and the last card Roger Bannister.
This is a series of 50 cards issued in mid 1969, the cards are in the standard size and format, 31 were horizontal and 19 vertical. They all have blue printed backs and colour paintings on the front.
A wallchart and album accompanied this series, there are no known error cards although two reprint album variations are known and diifer from the original, the cards and album were reprinted.
