The set depicts some of the worlds most weird and wonderful tropical birds, the first card depicts the bateleur eagle and the last card Wilson's bird of paradise.
This is a series of 50 cards issued in late 1961, the cards are in the standard size and format, 24 horizontal and 36 vertical. They all have blue printed backs and colour paintings on the front.
An album accompanied this series, there are no known error cards, the cards and album were reprinted.
